Top Three Nudist Beaches in America

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

There are several types of nudist beaches. The first time is a real nudist beach in which clothing is not allowed. This type has waned in popularity in recent years. The more up to the date type of nudist beach is actually a clothing optional beach. A variation of the nudist beach is the topless beach. The topless beach is pretty much a place where women bare their breasts and no other nudity is permitted. There are a surprising number of nudist beaches spread across the entire United States. Laws vary from state to state, and from town to town. It is a good idea to be aware of local laws when planning your nudist vacations. A nudist vacation is an exciting adventure if you have done the rsearch before heading to the destination. Some of the nudist resorts are located on or near bodies of water including lakes or rivers. The following list is just one person’s opinion of the top three nudist beaches in the United States.

* Little Beach, Hawaii. This clothing optional beach is located on the Island of Maui. Nude bathing is illegal in Hawaii, but this law has not been enforced at Little Beach for some time. A local artist named Dr. Leisure will paint your picture as a souvenir.

* Red, White, and Blue Beach. This beach is located six miles north of Santa Cruz in California. Activities here include whale watching and overnight camping. The beach is privately owned from the parking lot to the shore, and so you can even park your car in the nude here.

* Black Beach. Located in a seaside park on the San Diego shoreline snuggled against high cliffs, this is a popular surfing spot. Some parts of the Park prohibit nudity so you need to make sure you are in the right spot.

Vacation Rentals: How to Hunt for the Best Deals

Friday, February 16th, 2007

In the past there was really only one way or two ways to search out those really good deals for vacation rentals. You could rely on the advice of a travel agent, or you could send off for brochures and wait for them to come back in the mail. There were some disadvantages to both methods. Travel agents often had arrangements with certain resorts and were more interested in getting you there than they were in finding the absolute best deal. Brochures took time to arrive and generally were not going to give you all the information you were seeking. We are lucky now though. We live in the age of the internet. There has to already be a million really good uses for the internet and now we can add one more. The web is the best place to hunt for the best deals in vacation rentals. Almost every location where vacation rentals can be found is going to have its own web site. The site will give you all the information that you need to make your choice. It is like having a full size brochure on every possible choice all at the same time. When you are ready to begin your hunt, you can start by making a list of your requirements. How many people are going to be with you and what are there ages? What is the maximum amount in your vacation budget to pay for your vacation rental? What time of the year will you be taking your vacation? These are some of the questions you should have answered in advance. Then simply put your destination into a search engine and start comparing. To get an idea of how much information is available to us by the internet search method, I picked the resort area of Cabo San Lucas as an experiment. I was searching for the best deals on Cabo San Lucas vacation rentals or Cabo San Lucas villas. I was pleased to discover that not only did most of the lodgings have websites, but also there were sites operated by the Mexican equivalent of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as some private sites that listed and linked me to the individual sites. In a short time, I was able to prepare a list of rental sites that matched the needs list I had prepared, and were well within my budget. Once I had a list of potential sites, it was time for that visit to the travel agent or to begin contacting the rental sites me. The internet is a powerful tool for this kind of comparison shopping and it is the best way to hunt out those really good deals whether you’re searching for the best deals on Cabo San Lucas vacation rentals or Cabo San Lucas villas.

Beautiful Tuscany

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

One of the best places to visit in Italy is Tuscany. This I only learned from a friend (Yvette) who’s a frequent traveler. She’s been to many places and from the many places she’s been to; she couldn’t stop telling about Tuscany. Well, besides Greece, of course. Basically, she likes the place primarily because she’s a lover of both art and wine. Believe me, this friend of mine is a wine freak and you can certainly tell she knows more than anyone knows about wine. She gladly insisted this is the perfect place for wine lovers like her. Well, of course after her first visit, she learned of more interesting things about the place giving her more reasons to love and choose the place as her resting haven.Just like in many countries, it has been a tradition to Tuscany people to have vacation houses out of the city. This is what makes Tuscany more popular to tourists, well, based on Yvette’s stories. She even added that most Tuscany villas are being offered as tourist inns these days. Some are converted to hotels or bed and breakfasts, which provides a very accommodating resting place for tired tourists. It makes them feel like it’s their second home. No wonder there has been several Tuscany villa rentals available for everyone. Another friend, after being enticed by Yvette’s wonderful experience in Tuscany, took his family to this region of art, food and wine. I really had to remember the name of the place where they stayed because of how enthusiastically he shared his wonderful stay in Villa Ginestra. What shook my interest was his description of the garden. I so love gardens, only for now, I could only imagine how it’s like being there. Maybe soon, hopefully, I won’t have to put up with just descriptions and stories. I’d certainly take that long vacation and fly to Tuscany.

My grandparents just arrived from Los Angeles

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

My grandparents just arrived from Los Angeles. They, of course brought something for all their grandchildren including me. Everybody searched the huge box but none dared look in the luggage. I was just staring at that carry-on luggage sitting beside the corner table. Uncle Tom noticed me staring at it and I realized I have been looking at the same direction for a couple of minutes now. It’s a Samsonite, he said. I said, I like its shape and color. It looks so elegant. When he said Samsonite, I thought it’s a kind of luggage. Pardon me, I don’t know much about luggage since I have been using the same traveling bag for years now and haven’t bought a new one. Days after I heard Samsonite again, this time from a friend. He was talking to his wife about where to buy a good luggage to bring for a three day trip. The wife mentioned the name and I told myself, “So, Samsonite is a brand name.” Funny, I don’t know but I give no damn to whatever brand my luggage is as long as it’s durable, long-lasting and most especially budget-friendly. But at least I have an idea now where to buy my sister a good luggage. She loves to travel a lot and she mentioned to me once that she will be going to Singapore next month so I think I will just buy her a Samsonite luggage. I liked my grannies’ luggage. Surely, my sister will like the luggage I will buy for her too.
