With the weather starting to get better, I have been spending a bit more time in my garden. It has got me thinking about how my garden look and I have also been looking at my neighbours as well. They have very need and tidy gardens and mine is rather scruffy. I have been meaning to do something with it and make it look a lot better but it is hard work and I always like to relax in the garden and not actually do work in there! Of course, I know that if I want to feel relaxed I need to keep it looking reasonable but I am not so, fussy as they are. One of them has a collection of yard gnomes on their lawn and has to move each one before they can mow it and several times a year washes each of the gnomes in a bucket of soapy water. The next door garden has some neat sheds with weathervanes on the top and they have to paint the sheds every year. I am pleased that I decided to just have gravel in my garden and a few pots as all I have to do is a little bit of weeding and planting twice a year and it keeps itself looking good.

It is so hard to decide on which fraternity to join at college, I also have several colleges to choose from and it is a hard decision. My mother was a member of Delta sigma theta and it would be nice to follow in her footsteps. However my grandmother was a member of delta gamma and it would also be nice to follow in her footsteps. I have no sisters and so it is not like we could choose different ones to help to carry on the family traditions. It is a big decision for me and my family are trying not to put any pressure on me as to which one to choose but it is tricky. Hopefully I will only get offered a place at one of them and then I will not have to make the choice myself but somehow I think that this is unlikely really. I almost feel like tossing a coin and then I wondered about joining both but I am not sure if that is allowed. I think I will take a bit more time to consider all of the factors. I may have to do a list of pros and cons or something like that.

My company have just installed some new order management systems and they are fantastic. I must admit that it did take me a while to get to grips with it all – working out how to work the new systems but now, I am used to it, it is so good. The Order processing system is so much quicker and so much more functionality, it makes everybody’s jobs so much easier. We can things done a lot more quickly, there is less paperwork involved and we can all communicate better through the system. Because the work is easier we have more time to attend to aspects of our work that were getting pushed on to the back burner before. I think that the whole atmosphere in the company has changed, no one is as stressed and people are more chatty and happy and it is all fantastic. I have been having a hunt around to see if I can find some red suspenders to buy for my grandfather for his birthday. I have never bought them before and so have been hunting around to try to find out where I can get them from.
